tonight .. tonight is a feast ...
ball park beef franks .. grilled ..
with canned chili and cheese sauce ...

I'm making pork chops with a creamy mustard/basil sauce, rice with yellow bell pepper and thyme, to soak up the sauce, and a fruit salad with cantaloupe, mango and figs.

I made a spinach salad from a recipe gleaned from cooks.com. With bacon and hard boiled eggs. The dressing was basically vinegar, water, mustard and sugar mixed in with the bacon grea.... err, drippings, with sauteed onions. It was pretty good. I might make it again.

This is where we went to eat tonight. Hubby, three brothers and sister-in-law. www.PickleBills.com The food isn't the greatest but the drinks and atmosphere is fun!! We had appetizers and drinks on the floating barge and sat outside for dinner.

That sounds a lot like wilted spinach salad that my mother used to make. Love that stuff.

oh yum!! i haven't had a good spinach salad since sterns at the bergan mall closed. they had a small sit down old fashioned no frills counter service (the one with the U shaped counter and the waitress was inside and could serve people on both side easily, quickly and efficiently) on the second floor. man that was a good salad and big for a good price.

Fisher made our dinner tonight - pizza! I used Vera's pizza dough recipe and then let Fish spread the dough out and then put all the toppings on and put it in the oven. I also let him decide when he thought it looked done.

I'm so proud.

Thanks, Trish. I told him you said so and he's looking very pleased with himself. His favorite part was using the "slap-chop" to chop up the olives. He loves the slap-chop.
