Biscuits, crispy on top, with the bottoms soaking up some of that great chicken mixture......:thumb::thumb: I'm in!
i have never made chicken and dumplings or chicken and biscuits. i must try both at some time. they are basically the same thing right? just a different cooking method?

That looks heavenly, Mama! Do you have your recipe posted here or at your website? Because I know that pic will be stuck in my head til I make it.

2 smallish, homemade pizzas here since there were only 4 for dinner. One with mozzarella & sliced tomatoes, the other with mozzarella & ham & pineapple. They were really good for a first try. Kind of ugly looking (hence no pics) but definitely tasted good.

Well, they are similar but not the same...at least not in my opinion. The only veggies I put in my chicken and dumplins is carrots, onions and celery and that is just to season the broth. I also add and egg to my biscuit mixture for the chicken and dumplins. I roll them out fairly thin and then drop them in the pot of simmering broth.

The chicken and biscuits is basically a chicken vegetable soup (I use big chunks of chicken though) that has been thickened with cornstarch and the raw biscuits are placed on top and the whole thing is baked in the oven.

I'm in with Cooksie, Mama. I never made mine like that. It looks delicious! I can almost taste those biscuits.

My steak, with Joec's shallot and shroom sauce (more or less) and the rest.
My salad, grilled romaine hearts and tomatos with EVOO, garlic, s & p and blue cheese.
And deep fried spinach on top.

Wow! That looks wonderful, Angel! I know my sons are happy campers tonight!

Boy are they! They both asked for seconds before they even finished their firsts...and Nick agreed to make the brownies without any convincing. I guess the best way to a man's heart really IS through his stomach.
:chef:

Here's my Chicken and Dumplin recipe. I don't have the chicken and biscuits recipe written down yet.

Fred, that dinner looks AMAZING!!!!

I'm so glad you like the sammie Newnork! Did you put the thousand island dressing on it?
