We had a fun day with the kids & grandkids, and ate too many snacks before a great dinner. DD#1 made Gorgonzola & mushroom stuffed sirloin burgers on whole wheat buns with corn on the cob and DW's baked beans topped with bacon. DW also made chocolate chip cookies for everyone to take home, and for Alexa to put in the freezer. Since having them at Grandma's house, she won't eat a room temp chocolate chip cookie...they have to be frozen. LOL DD#2 made her first ever Dutch Apple Pie and served it with triple vanilla ice cream. She did a great job. It tasted as good as it looked. Makes us proud to see the girls doing so well in the kitchen, and for their willingness to try new and different dishes. DS and his GF went to another event at the Cleveland Aquarium with fireworks to follow. we missed his help with the cooking and picture taking.

Alexa got to experience her first sparklers, and did a great job of being careful. No burned fingers!!!! Yay!!!!

Here's Grandma and her grand babies just before heading home.

It surely does look good from this end Joe!
God bless the Kids and Grandkids. Boy they sure do grow up fast. Maddona Mia!

LS, yum- farmer's mkt. veggies, fruit- most of their stuff- is so yummy & fresh~

i jus' snacked on pasta, these bottled German sausages i needed to put extra vinegar into the other night (they're delicious, now), & prosciutto-wrapped mozzarella a few ago. & a few adult beverages. random foods.
i hurt my knee, so making an actual dinner was not feasible.

Grilled up some all beef franks and some baked beans. For desert had some of the first raspberries and they are coming fast. Got a few strawberries as well. Will be picking daily from here on till they run out. Love the flavor of them.

Last night I made another batch of the Sausage, Kale, and Cannellini Bean Soup. I used half Italian sausage and half Chicken/Spinach/Asiago sausage. I'm set for lunches for the week . I have ribs and a turkey breast that I plan on putting on the smoker tomorrow.

We had a Christmas in July Dinner; believe it or not.

Our dear friend Mary didn't know what to buy us for Christmas as an exchange of gifts between us.
Tina said, take us to dinner some time!

Well she was here to go car L00King (and got a car by the way).
While staying here with us, she said Now would be a good time to have that Christmas in July, and so she didn't want to go out to eat, so Tina and she, picked up some delicious Fillet steaks and fried mushrooms and corn on the cob. Taters, and 2 tomato salads, and desserts, and I made us the steaks on the grill. Everything was really super.
Couldn't transfer the pics onto the photo host site. Grrrrrrrrr!
