Yummy with strawberry jam.

Came out really good. Mama made a nice salad, and cut up a baguette to push it all onto the fork. :yum:

I made a big juicy burger last night on a homemade brioche bun. Added sauteed onions, mushrooms, bacon and provolone cheese. Fries on the side...

Tonight was Broccoli-Cauliflower Casserole leftovers. it was actually better tonight than it was yesterday. DW even agreed.

Tonight, she was Cheese steaks with peppers and onions and cheese.

Lunch was an omelet with tomatoes and onions with cheese.

I had chili hot dogs on split top rolls....but the Mrs. bought a chicken breast for her and uncle.
I'm not cooking chili for hot dogs, with no one else having any,...so I will make them tomorrow.

I will refrain from eating chicken, and make a ham / cheese / tomato / lettuce / onion sandwich with mayo. Hot peppers on the side.

Pork chop, roasted balsamic & Parmesan cauliflower, twice baked potato & tossed salad. The cauliflower was DW's idea, and it was just OK...nothing to write home about. Not something I'll waste cauliflower on again. (Don't tell Mama...shhhhh...)

Baked some fish in the oven and made buttered noodles and green beans for sides. Sprinkled some Mrs. Dash on them too. Had a bowl of ice cream later for desert.

I made stew for dinner last night and an omelet for breakfast when I got home from work this morning. Sausage, mushrooms, red, yellow and green peppers and onions were included.

Yep! That's the one. DW like balsamic vinagrette on her salad, but for my palette, the stuff is too strong. Not all ingredients are worthy of inclusion. :yum:

It was a cold day here in NE Ohio, and it was spent in the kitchen fro the most part. Got up at 6:30 am and started baking bread & sandwich thins. Decided we needed to have English muffins in the freezer as well, so made a batch of those. Dinner was breakfast.

Wow on that eggs / hash browns / and muffins.

Thinking of Sunday Breakfast with that Inspiration Joe.

I do freeze English Muffins, but I found out, that a wrap in aluminum foil first, and then in the plastic bags, the foil saves the muffins from freezer burn if a longer than normal storage is needed. Same with bread too! ....
I do the same for celery for storage in the fridge. Out of the plastic, and a wrap of foil bit leaving the leaf end slightly open, the celery remains crisp and usable for 3 weeks.

Nice, JoeV!!

I see that you still have your old KA stand mixer.

I see it peeping out in the upper right-hand corner. Hah!!

Looks like you must hate to part with it! :piesmiley1::eating2: :bounce:

Funny you mention the KA. About a month ago I toasted the transmission again, so I quietly cursed it and shoved it in the corner. Three days ago I decided I need some components to build another AR-15, so I put the KA on Craigslist as "SALVAGE" for $150. I put it in a lady's car this afternoon and put $100 in my pocket. Her Dad is going to rebuild it for her, I got $100 in my pocket, and there's a gun show tomorrow. (Did I say there was a guns show tomorrow?)

Well, at least you got rid of it.

Still looking for a new mixer. The Bosch seems out of my reach, because I have too many expenses to cover every month.

I was looking at Kenwood. Their mixers have a 500-watt motor & a 5-year warranty! Not has powerful as the Bosch, but certainly more powerful than KA'S junk machines!! They are off my list.

You can tell that the quality just isn't there any more, & while others have far better warranties on their machines, KA is still only offering a 1-year warranty on all of theirs!! Proof that they just don't care, won't improve on the quality and won't offer a longer guarantee on their piece-of-junk mixers!! :WitchBrewsSmiley:

I made Haluski for my dinner last night. Takes me back to my childhood....

Tonight I'll add some fresh Kielbasa to it.

Had snow days (closed) from work on Monday and Tuesday so I made big pot of chili (nice and spicy hot!!). Today I made taylor ham, homemade biscuits and DD#2 made over easy eggs. That and a nice pot of fresh ground coffee (my blend of several flavored beans) was wonderful.

Hi peeps....
Ready for a monday snow day again??? ....hahahaha

Tina said I jinxed the last snow storm prediction, because I sat here on the computer watching snow and radar, and saying,"This is gonna Blow Out to Sea!"...and I was later right in my prediction. We were sort of sad that the snow didn't pile up here, and but we did make a pot of chili too. Used that packaged Chili-O-Mix . On our last three packages, and for some reason, we like that a lot. The only thing I do, is add a little garlic diced, and some celery minced finely. Some minced green bell pepper if I have one.

I buy the 18 count boxes of Chili-O from Amazon!! LOVE IT! That's what mom used. McCormick just don't hit the spot (LOL bad grammar for bad product). I add my seasoning blend (I mix up a big batch of a bunch of spices in an adobo bottle it includes garlic and onion powder, accent, adobo seasoning, cayenne, hot Hungarian paprika and sweet Hungarian paprika, ground red pepper flakes, ground pepper and salt), chopped onion and green bell pepper when browning the meat. Then I add the chili-o, chili powder, cumin, ground chipotle pepper, ground ghost pepper, 2 - 3 small dried hot chili peppers and 2 mild chili peppers (nice and spicy), beans and crushed tomato simmer a bit and serve over brown rice topped with shredded cheddar, sour cream and scallion. YUM!
