Now, I live in an urban area that happens to have excellent pizza and sub shops on every corner. And most of them deliver.

But I like to keep a store-bought frozen pizza in the freezer just for those nights when I get home from work and don't have the extra time, money or energy to order out.

I've tried a couple of brands so far, and, even though my expectations were low, have been disappointed.

Until tonight.

Freschetta's pepperoni pizza, put directly on the oven rack (not on a cookie sheet), with a little extra pizza seasoning and drizzle of olive oil was GREAT!

What are your favorite brands and varieties of frozen pizza?

My favorite is Paul Newmans. It has a thin crust, a good sauce, and lots of pepperoni on it.

This one was excellent!

I've bought DiGiorno several times now, doctor it a bit with herbs and oil, and it never disappoints.

In my area most every super market and Papa Murphy's have fresh ready made pizza to take home and bake I've not had a frozen pizza since I moved back from Germany in 93. Imma pepperoni and meat lover guy and not sure a frozen one would meet my expectations. It is easy to add on though, like you do, Lee.

I used to like the California ones, but have since favoured Amy's pizzas, or the good old stand-by Stouffer french bread pizzas.

Mine is Red Baron Super Supreme. It's a nostalgia thing; back when I was a single guy, I doctored up many of them.

Try dill pickle slices on a pizza sometime. You will be amazed.

Kimchee, there used to be a place here in town that made a cheeseburger pizza, complete with dill pickle slices.

Me? I don't much like frozen Pizzas. We do have a Papa Murphy's down here in Foley, AL, and they do make a great fresh pizza that you take home and bake. Not the lowest price pizza, but it is about the best that I have eaten.

i'll accept 1 kind. digornio. (sp~~). i prefer to order in or get take-away. great pie places surround me.
