Saying "Happy Veterans Day" never seemed like an appropriate thing to say to me. War is hell. And even for vets who weren't deployed, just serving in the armed forces couldn't have been all that "happy".

What seems appropriate to me is saying THANK YOU, American veterans, for your service!

Toy Caldwell (lead guitarist) enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. In 1966, he reported for recruit training at Parris Island, South Carolina. After being wounded in Vietnam in September 1968, he was evacuated for two weeks, then returned for duty.

Awesome Johnny. Toy Caldwell was lead guitarist for the Marshall Tucker band. I had a couple of their LP's back in the day.
