TRUTH !!
I first could not believe it when I read about it on Wikipedia, as I drink the water from a fresh coconut every morning. The story is that when poor families, mainly in southern India, decided they could no longer take care of aging parents, they gave them lots of coconut water to drink, which caused kidney failure followed by high fever. This "did the job" in 2 days. Though this practice was more common in the past, it still happens today and is punishable by law. There is word for this crime, "Thalaikoothal", is Tamil.
