TV Guide gave it a rating of 10!!

i watched last nights part 1 of the 5 part (shown on consecutive days) mini and it was AWESOME!! it blew me away!!
i can't wait to see the rest!!

Is that THE Torchwood with Capt. Jack Harkness?

Its a spin-off of Doctor Who! Im a HUUUUUUGE fan of Doctor Who and I very much like Torchwood (if we are talking about the same show)

yes and yes!! the first episode was on last night on the BBC america. did you miss it? i have bbc america also on demand so i can catch what i miss but bbc america is going to repeat ALL 5 episodes on sunday as a leead in to the new episode of doctor who!! a new doctor is coming!!
 
I dont have BBC America. Yea the new Doctor is Matt something or the other. I forgot. Young guy though. New SMOKIN' hot female companion too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :):kiss::heart:
 
I have to get a new tv that picks up the free digital channels before I can watch any more Torchwood. Only been able to see the first series.

Meant to be four specials with David Tennant before the new doc comes on. We have had the first one, which I was less keen on. Sorry to see him go. He is one of my favourite two docs - the other one being Patrick Troughton.

I so want the new tv!!!!!!!

so you had to switch to digital TV like we did?

hmmmmmmmmmmmm i liked the last doctor, chris eccelstein (sp). hes in GI Joe!! i don't know much about the digital (shame on me) but it sounds like it picks up lots more channels that before. are they picking up cable channels for free?
 
They are phasing out the analogue tvs within the next year or so. You can get a set top box or a digital tv. Each of our five free-to-air channels have a digital counterpart as well and when you get the digital reception, they will be free too. One of the channels is getting another free-to-air digital station set up. Everything else is pay tv and I have no idea how many channels there are as I have never had the money to install it. The new series of Torchwood is on pay tv, but they are showing series one on one of the digital free stations. We had it before on a free analogue but they were showing it around midnight and if you put a tape in to record it you had to buffer it with an hour on either side, cos they just would not run to time and would chop and change without notice. There was a petition to take it off that channel and stick it on the one that shows Dr Who and effectively we won!! Cos that station now has it, albeit on its digital arm.

Power to the masses!! ;-)

I imagine I will be in my grave before they let us get cable for nix. Broadband is still quite expensive for what you get here. And oh so slow!!!!!!!!

Chris Ecclestein (I don't know how it's spelt either!) was also in Heroes amongst other things.
 
I don't remember episode names but I have only seen the first series, so if it was in there - yes (more than once!) but if not, then no. Take it, he was smokin' in it then?? ;-)

i am talking about CHILDREN OF EARTH new for 2009. ianto is dead!! poor jack!!
 
Really??!! By the time I get to see any new episodes there won't be anyone else left! (And yet they still keep that Gwen...)

The BBC's website only had info up to Day 2. (I went a-lookin' after I last posted.)

I want to ask how but maybe you shouldn't say...

Since last post - have gone to check out how much pay tv would cost. Will have to wait for Torchwood on DVD methinks!! LOL
 
I so want to watch everything I have missed!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sad or not, I am very jealous of you this moment!
 
This starts again all 5 shows on the BBC or if Directv it would be channel 264 in one hour or 1 PM EST. I will be recording it since I didn't get to see it the first time around.

TV guide gave it 5 stars!! but it also stated it is decidely DARK!! you're gonna love it!!

TISSUE ALERT!!

day 1 and 2 i was cheering and whooooooooo hooooooo-ing at the TV!! days 3 - 5 cheering, screaming, cussing and crying.

ENJOY!!

i may watch again as the lead-in to the NEW FACE OF DOCTOR WHO!!

if you have been watching Primeval, it's FINITO this season!!
