Thursday 1/19/2012 What's on the menu today?

We had another "sandwich" dinner tonight - lol!

Hubby took the day off yesterday so we could run some automobile errands, & since it was late afternoon before we finished, we stopped off at our favorite little sandwich "bistro" for a late lunch/early supper.

Hubby had a "Buffalo Chicken Sub", which he enjoyed. Grilled chicken breast coated in wing sauce on a sub roll served with blue cheese dipping sauce. I had what he had enjoyed the last time we visited this place: the "Cincinnati" - smoked turkey, pepper jack cheese, spicy mayo, pickled jalapenos, etc., etc. It was DELICIOUS!!

Since all of the sandwiches here contain about a POUND of meat & cheese (in fact, I brought half of my sandwich home to enjoy today for lunch), we just snacked last night, as neither one of us was hungry for a full dinner.

yep, frozen hanover baby limas, a can of del monte unsalted (diced) tomatoes, loads of minced garlic, a 'lil seasalt & fresh black pepper. simmer for awhile & that's it!
