Me and DW both had it done in 2011. We did like you and scheduled first appointment in the morning, and were having breakfast by 9 am at the Waffle House within 1/4 mile of the gastro office. Good luck with the procedure on Friday.

Dinner will be on the fly tonight, as I'm invited with a good friend to learn how to make dried Italian sausages at the home of his Italian friend. I'm excited like a kid waiting for Christmas, as I've wanted to do this for a long time. Gotta remember to take my camera with me.

Sounds like fun Joe....not so much though Buzz...

Not sure what's gonna be for dinner. Maybe salmon.

Hopefully it will be meatloaf.
Ok meatloaf it is. The weather stinks and calls for comfort food!!
I like lots of "stuff" in my meatloaf but family like it boring. I think I will mix a basic loaf and then pull some aside and add my stuff. I'll make 2
loaves - one larger boring one for them and a smaller yummy one for me. I like green pepper, mushroom, onion, cheddar, hot mustard and hot ketchup in mine. I bet they will want mine.
TOUGH tooties!! LOL

HMMMMMMMM I may even add some cooked and crumbled bacon to my loaf.

I will probably serve it with baked or mashed taters (with butter, sour cream and chives with either version of tater), brown gravy, spinach and/or salad.

Chin up Buzz!

I'll be having trout and fresh oysters for dinner.
Not sure what I will have accompany it.

For lunch, I'm heading down to the local collage where the culinary arts students do a lunch for the campus. My girlfriends son is head chef today and I'm sure it will be outstanding. I'll try and get a pic of the dish.

LOTS of luck Buzz.
If you've never had one before...It is really no big deal.
You will certainly be happy when it is all over.

The one test I didn't care for..was the one where they fill you up (from down there) with that barium liquid, and have to plug it.

I had two girl techs do mine...and I said to them,"Sooo..is this payback to show us men what it is to have a baby?" ... They laughed, and then pumped in more barium. hahahahaha....

All in All...it was no big deal.

Hey! at least you will have the weekend to re fill up on f o o d !!

This will be my second. My mother had a bout with colon cancer so the docs aren't letting me off the hook.

3 1/2 more hours and I begin the lavaging process. Oh joy - NOT! :(

OK... bach to the stomach and food to fill it! :chef:

I want Hot Dogs. :bbq:

DW made some mac and cheese for lunch. Had some of that already!

I will clean out the refrigerator later. Need to make room for more leftovers.

I've got some cod and am going to make a sauce with grape tomatoes, kalamata olives, and artichoke hearts. I may make some saffron rice also.

Hopefully Paul will get home on time tonight and I'll make those bison burgers that I was going to make yesterday... if not... leftover chicken veggie soup.

Those are beautiful plates! YUMMY

It was fantastic!
I will definitely be going back in the near future.
Now I have to figure out what I'm going to do with my oysters and trout tonight.

Beautiful lunch LG! Your girlfriends son is quite talented! I can't believe you only had to pay $10...what a deal!

Change of plans here. I had some leftover rotisserie chicken in the fridge so I've got a pot of white chicken chili simmering on the stove. I'll make some cornbread to go with it.

That all looks good Lethal GTS..

Those marinated onions are good.
I / we call them Deli Onions.
I like them on hero's / subs / hoagies ... and I make them myself.

I slice the onions circles thin. Place them in a bowl with water...about two Tbs. white Vinegar...a teaspoon of sugar.
I usually leat them stay at room temperature for like 3 hours..and then they are ready to add to sandwiches. They keep well in the refrigerator, and remain crisp for around 5 / 6 days.

I just wolved down two hot dogs with mustard and sweet pickle relish.

The buns were soft, and collapsed like a wet sponge when held.
DD picked them up...el cheapo's look alike to the Arnolds or Peppridge Farms Quality split top rolls. She was just being frugal and was happy to get a bargain.

The buns won't go to waste. Cold smmies will be a better match for a roll like that.

Had a plain doughnut and a few cookies for dessert. Like 6 few! L O L

OH Mama That looks wonderful! I'm not used to seeing nakid corn bread on your plate. LOL It needs to be dripping with butter and honey.

Meatloaf (onion soup mix, egg, uncooked rolled oats, green pepper, mushroom, cheddar, mustard, ketchup, spices and hot sauce), baked taters (with butter, sour cream and chives), brown gravy, and steamed frozen spinach.

Nice plate of meatloaf peep.

I ALWAYS do butter AND sour cream on my potato.

Lethal GTS, what a lovely lunch! Very mouthwatering!

Mama, love your chicken chili! I'll have to check out your site to see the recipe.

Peep, yummy meatloaf!

I simmered some beef cube steaks, onions and crimini mushrooms in some leftover gravy I had when I cooked a chuck roast a couple days ago.

Been there done that. Twice, hope for a clear colon. Mine is as of summer of 2011.

i made split pea soup, 'cept very thick & different from the traditional type. i'd thawed some rabbit/pork/garlic ginger sausage, so made that while the soup cooked (needed to hide it from babbit & that cat managed to open door to try & find it, lol, so into the fridge:fridge: it went for a few). sliced that into the soup & added some cream. was good for a dreary winter nite. i'm so full now, tho! btw, i need to take the Christmas tablecloth from my table, 'ya think~
