On this rainy, chilly day in Boston...what's everyone thinking about for food?
I'm thinking it is good soup weather..:blob_blue:

Another cloudy rainy day here so I'm thinking about soup too....maybe the bacon cheeseburger soup.

WOW a hat trick!! It will be raining here also. I had planned salisbury steak, mashed, gravy and spinach. MAYBE because my girl woke up with a 101 fever again this morning! I am thinking because of the antibiotics she was on for 10 days for the strep which killed all the germ fighters in her body also she probably caught the first bug that came along when her defenses were down. So dinner may be changed.

Probably going to be raining here in MI, too. As for dinner, I'm not sure what we'll do yet. We have food at the house again (But still no Fridge - turns out our order got canceled so we ended up at another store ordering it. *sigh*) having converted a beer fridge into a real fridge again ;)

A stir fry sounds good, but so does something in the oven, so I guess I have to check the "undecided" box at the moment. Will probably know more around lunchtime here once Sheila voices her opinion.

Well folks, it's going to be in the 100's today so I am NOT thinking of any cool weather food. Not sure what I'm going to cook for dinner. I'll probably throw something on the BBQ and nuke any sides besides a salad.

DW mixed Pork burgers for supper. In the fridge gaining flavors from the onion.

She will fry them later.... I was outside picking up Sumac seed pods that fell all over the lawn. They eat the lawn (weeds and all) so I picked 1/2 a garbage can full plus. I have kerosene all over my head . / neck / and arms to keep the mosquitos from biting me.

DW is screaming at me because the house smells like a Bus just drove through. L O L L O L .... I'm jumping in the shower in a short.

DD came over...all huffy.. / It must be the weather?? ... Gloom and Doom!! hahaha

DD is Taking her Mommy to pick up the car. Tie Rods and F / E / Alignment...$367.00
CaaChinggg!!!

Lilylove, you're gonna love those chicken wings.....they are awesome!

Wow....still in the 100's Leni? Does it ever cool off there?

I made Bacon Cheeseburger soup. I had some turkey bacon so I used that. Turkey bacon leaves a lot to be desired.....

horrible day today all day, work, homecare stuff, and now home junk.....felt like nibbling,,had some cheese and crackers---after another calamity at home--a libation!

So sorry to hear that CC. A libation is certainly in order.

Mama, last week at this time we were getting an 1 1/2" of rain. The heat this week has set new records. It's a good thing that we've had very mild Santa Annas. Usually by now the weather is much cooler. This is when I plant my fall garden. I sure hope that this is the last heat of the summer. It should be.

Dinner will be fajita's, spanish rice, refried beans, and a salad. The lettuce is growing beautifuly.

Embryodad I like the idea of ground pork patties with onion. I think that I'd add some sage to it. I'll have to buy some ground pork the next time I go to the market. Your dinner sounds very tasty.

Thanks Leni....

When DW was growing up, she never ever had what we know as a hamburger (made with ground beef).

She always had them made with Pork. Pork was cheaper cut of meat.

Despite the turkey bacon, the soup looks wonderful and satisfying.

DW asked me to go with her to get new tires at Sam's Club, and she volunteered to buy dinner as well. $5.40 later we consumed (1) hot dog combo (Her) and an Italian sausage sammie with a drink (me). The woman spares no expense for her man, that's why I keep her around.:hide:

Rent a car 111.00 for two days... Total = 974.24 + 20.00 tip mechanic.
Gee...I got change from 1000.00. WoW!.... Grrrrrrrrr!!!!!

Sounds like you still have enough money left for you and a date to have a wonderful dinner at Sam's Club Jimmy! :w00t:......sorry....:hide:
