I'd get a couple of gallons of water at the local store and use that to do a sponge bath and brush my teeth. How long are you going to be without water?

Water coming out of the tap is something I never take for granted. For over 30 years we had our own spring development, which had two electrical pumps; the submersible (sp?) pump in the holding tank, and the pressure pump. Electrical pumps are prone to fail over time. Oddly enough the pressure pump never has failed, but the submersible pump would fail about every 8 to 10 years.

Now we are on county/rural water which flows even when the electricity goes out:thumb:, but the water does not flow 24/7 on this system either. We keep 20 gallons of water stored in the basement.

We always have water stored here. It's earthquake country and we have to be prepared to be on our own for at least 72 hours.

I feel your pain! Someone should let you know what's going on, or call the DWP. You should come over here. They've been power washing the complex for 2 days (& will be here till the end of the month). Water is coming in under my front door - I have towels to block the flow. Tomorrow they expect us to leave our storage lockers open & remove our "valuables" for three days. Two Summers ago, during 100 deg heat, the water was shut off every weekend, w/o warning - while my neighbor had a bidette installed, & who knows what else. They now post signs all over the complex. I would definitely find out what's up.

lol, i was on that ringer faster than 1 could blink, griping & that!~

it's gravy, now; i checked w/ the locals last nite & the main went on us. makes a girl really, really cranky & grumpy when OCD/germs occur & there isn't a flowing tap. thankfully the bar taps were quite abundantly flowing....... eased the anxiety some,:drink2:
