The Postman brought me my new, bigger whip today

Fisher's Mom

Mother Superior
and I'm so excited! When I opened the package, I was surprised to see how much bigger and more powerful looking it is than my old one. I actually worried for a minute that it might be a little too much for my skills. But I couldn't help shivering in anticipation. Everyone I know who has one says they would never go back to the smaller one. In fact, most said they wish they had started with this one. I spent the rest of this evening trying to get the kids settled for the night so I could try it out without interruption. I didn't want to hear anyone calling "Mom" just as things start peaking.

All I can say is - WOW! It surpassed all of my expectations! It brought amazing results in half the time - and I swear, the result was almost twice as big as before! Now, I'm no stranger to a whip. I've been using one regularly for a couple of years now and I'm pretty good at it, if I do say so myself. But this whip is a whole other dimension. I kept thinking - I know Vera is a professional and I wondered if she uses a whip just like this. I made a mental note to PM her tomorrow to ask her for tips on making the most of this bad boy.

Enough talk - do y'all want to see it?

Naughty, naughty - you had me going :bonk::yum::alc:.

Here I'm thinking it's going to be one hell of a 37th celebration ...

Really, this whip is amazing. It's a replacement for the KA wire whip that comes with your mixer. It has twice as many tines and it's stainless steel instead of aluminum (so it can go in the dishwasher). I made an angelfood cake to test it out last night and the difference was spectacular. The whites whipped up much higher - I'd estimate 30-40% higher - in half the time. If you have a KitchenAid mixer and you use your whip a lot - you might want to consider buying one. I got mine from Amazon - $30 shipped.

awesome! i'm just learning to use my kitchenaid after 4 or 5 years..... maybe i'll ask my Mum fer a whip for graduation..... along with my class ring.

LOL, I knew what you were going to show us before I opened this up. I was like, oh cool, she got a wire whisk of some kind!! LOL Not sure how good it is that I know what you are talking about, reading stuff like this. naughty minds think alike? lol

It must be something in the Texas water, right?

Leolady or Gadzooks, would that whip fit my ksm90?
Do any of the KitchenAid attachments fit your mixer, Susan?

Oh, wait, I needed to read more closely. I thought you were talking about a Hobart, but this is a KitchenAid. I'll see what I can find out.

It is a 4-1/2 qt kitchenaid mixer, Terry. It is why I asked whether the new beater would fit. It is also why I will eventually get the Hobart of my dreams.
