Oh Mama, I LOVE the Fox Theatre! DH and I saw David Gray there a few years ago and it was so beautiful!

We don't have alot of touristy type things here in N. Alabama. We have the U.S. Space and Rocket Center and lots of nature/hiking trails, rivers, lakes, etc. There are wonderful beaches down in South Alabama....

Now a lot of neat stuff to do in East Texas, but here's a video of rafting/tubing in Central Texas. Some of the rivers are more slow moving, which are great for families with young kids, and then there are the more rapidly moving rivers that will tump your butt out, so you better know how to swim. Beautiful scenery and water, and loads of fun!

If you are into flea markets, the First Monday Trade Days at Canton is popular:

Wow CC! I went to L.A. with my ex-husband a few times and that traffic was just surreal. LOL! I had never seen anything like it then and haven't since.

Oh, that was a crummy pic of the Gay Parade at Carnivale in P'town!

Here are a couple of better ones. Carnivale Week is a blast, no matter what your sexual orientation!

Mr. Leslie Peltier's former home (Brookhaven) stands just down the road from me.

His memorial marker stands on the grounds of the library.

My church is a place that a lot of tourists visit.
For this being such a tiny town ;)
We get a lot of visitors from Germany.

The Miami Erie Canal runs right through the center of town and separates Van Wert and Allen County.

This is a video someone took going down Main Street.

Yup, small town America.. I was brought up here from age 11-17 and moved back in '03 from England.
Wouldn't choose to be anyplace else. :D
