Stuffing-stuffed Meatballs

I made another recipe from the little church dinner booklet I found.

I mistakenly pulled out a pound of ground lamb instead of ground beef, but went ahead and made them anyway with some leftover stuffing I had. I chose cream of celery soup.

These yankee church dinner people loved bland food! I added salt, pepper, thyme, mushroom powder. Pretty good! I would make the again with hamburger, but I bet Lora would also like them with ground chicken or turkey.

I'll be using ground turkey for mine, and make sure I use plenty of seasoning.
And I bought some cream of celery soup.

These things were a pain to put together ( the meatballs).
I had doubts about mixing just the ground turkey and milk. I should have used crushed crackers or something as a binder.
The turkey was wet and sloppy to work with.
Had to plop a glob in the palm of my hand, add some stuffing, then work the wet mixture over to cover.
I halved the recipe exactly.
We shall see how they turn out later.
⬇️
Edit to add.
They held together and came out beautifully!
I've trayed them to put in the fridge until dinner, will reheat along with the soup gravy.

You formed the meatballs exactly the way I did! I really did like the finished product!

Lee, next time I make these, I'll use ground beef and Campbell's cream of bacon soup.

Oh, and they were Jeff approved.
He really liked the leftovers.

Your meatballs look great! We don't have Campbell's cream of bacon soup around here. Sounds like it would be great with a grilled cheese or a BLT. Maybe Amazon has it available.

Lots of people tell me they can't find Campbell's cream of bacon.
We have just about every variety available, because the Campbell's plant is here.
