Sourdough Cheddar Crackers

This morning Nancy made cheddar crackers using discard sourdough starter and added extra Anthony’s Powdered Cheddar Cheese that she got on line. After the bake they were soft in the middle and were like a cookie. She did a second bake in the air fryer and were a bit more crispy and tasted like Cheese-its. I love them. She got the cheddar powder on line.

Nancy’s tips.

“ Added Anthony’s powdered cheddar in addition to shredded sharp cheddar. Add extra discard to moisten. Suggest rolling out in 3 or 4 batches to get them thin enough.”

I wonder what would happen if you baked them on a parchment lined wire rack?

The first bake was on a parchment lined cookie sheet. The second bake was in the air fryer basket and they came out mostly crispy. She said she didn’t roll them out thin enough because the ball was too big. Next time she’ll cut the ball into smaller portions.
