Shirley's Kraut

Sass Muffin

1 medium onion-sliced
2 T butter
1 T flour
4 c sauerkraut, drained well
1 1/2 c V8 vegetable juice
1/2 t salt
1 bay leaf
1 T honey

Saute onion in butter. Sprinkle in flour, cook and stir til onion slightly browns.
Add kraut, juice, bay leaf and salt.
Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
Remove bay leaf, stir in honey and serve.
