Secret Santa Gift Exchange

Now we are getting closer to the season, and it's time to get it rolling if we are going to do this. I would participate but I cannot run this.
Is there anyone willing to put all interested names in a hat and draw them out so we know who we'll be a secret Santa for?
If participating and you want to give gift ideas of what you like ....what would be the best way to do that? We all like to get useful gifts but how /and where to discretely mention what you would be interested in is something I have not figured out. Any suggestions?
 
I'm willing to participate, I wasn't of the mind for it before, but I'm better now :)


Last year we were given our secret santa person by one organizer through PM along with their address or P.O. Box. Then we were also sent a likes/dislikes list to fill out through PM so the organizer could then forward it to the person who got you. Seemed to work out smoothly.
But I really urge people to ONLY sign up if you KNOW you will be able to participate otherwise its not fair to those who did their part then got left out....
I'll look for the likes/dislikes form for participants to fill out so we can have the option of using it. :)

LOL Vera!! The wife also had a book of manners hanging around here somewhere. She always kept it right next to her Book of Insults!
 
Everyone who is interested private message me with your name and address and I shall match people up via the choose a name out of a hat method.

Someone, please create the likes and dislikes thread. I would like to have this wrapped up by November 26th. So that gives you about a week to private message me with your info. I wil make the matches and send out pms with your giftee.
 
Susan, I suggest we fill out the likes and dislikes and put them in the PM to you with the address. Then you simply send address and the likes to the secret Santa, and we don't have to post likes and dislikes publicly. Sound okay to you?
 
Also, anyone who may have sent me info in the past, please resubmit so that it can be all together and easier on me.

P.S. I came back to add, that I agree with you, BT. It WOULD be interesting material to see what each others likes and dislikes are, or to see what we asked for! I have no problem posting it publicly.

Here's what I just PM'd Susan:

I would like my Secret Santa to send me something in the edible category that is either a special favorite of theirs and/or something that known to their culture or region where they live, and/or something they would like me to try (I know that sentence is gramatically horrible, but writing it correctly is too cumbersome!)
