I thought about getting a new 2023 Kia Soul S in Orange. I've really been wanting this since it was first introduced in the TV commercial featuring the hamsters back in the year 2010!! It is fully loaded with lots of bells & whistles!!!!

I heard thru the grapevine… if you can wait a few months there will be some pretty decent deals on new cars when they all get the chips in them/get caught up. They will be “new cars”, just a few years old. We shall see I guess. 🤷‍♂️

I'm not planning to get one until around the fall sometime. But in any case, hopefully, it will be a 2023 Kia Soul!! :whistling:

I went for a spin with Jeff today.
Nice vehicle!
It has a mechanism where if it strays over the line on the highway, it takes itself back on track.
Lots of bells and whistles.

Yeah, I read that also. It practically drives itself!!!! The instrumentation panel has been changed also. Instead of the regular mechanical dials, it now has gone to electronic dials!! :whistling:

Really? I'm in the market to buy or lease new, or buy used. Not an emergency yet, but my 2001 Camry has 104K miles on it.

I'll wait - thanks, Mark!

Welcome 🙏

That’s what the dealers around here are saying anyway. Guy I work with has been shopping around forever and that’s what they told him - just wait a bit.

104K on your Camry? Heck that’s just broke in! It’ll go another 100K! But that is a bit old.

My sweetie just bought a new 2022 Nissan Sentra sport model for $22K. I didn’t think that was that bad. I put 2000 miles on it traveling last week and all the bells and whistle’s are amazing nowadays. The adaptive cruise and new technologies on these new vehicles are much safer too.

About Jeff's KIA, he was already told by my other son Ty that if anything goes wrong with it, don't come running to me. First of all, it's brand new.
Secondly, he'll take it to Taylor's in Toledo where he bought it for service etc.
I think since Ty's a mechanic he's afraid Jeff bought a car he wouldn't be able to work on.
Like his last car, a Volkswagen Passat.
That thing needed all kinds of specialty work once it began having issues.
Volkswagens are a bear to work on!

I hope that when I'm ready, I be able to get what I want. This would be my very first time getting the Kia Soul!! I want it to be a good impression for me. No other car has captured my interest in the last few months!! I just want to see how it feels to be driving one!! :whistling: :whistling::whistling:

It rides smooth, Shermie.
Lots of room in the back seats too.
The/hatch trunk area isn't as large as a standard car, but that's not a big deal.

Well, the seats fold down in case more cargo room is needed. I won't be carrying that much anyway, except maybe for a few bags of groceries. :whistling:

It will be & feel so good to go straight to the car from the supermarket, put the bags of groceries into the back of it, instead of walking or waiting for public transportation to get home!!! :whistling:

Getting THIS one!! Looks like the same one that's featured in the 2010 Kia Soul commercial with the hamsters, only this one is a 2013 model. I'm calling it the Green Hamster!! Hah!!!! :whistling:
