Random Picture Thread - Part Deux

Elaina likes Daddy's new boat.
She sat in it practically all day yesterday.

Here’s my new Minnie Pearl Hat, tag still attached
$8 on Ebay . . .

I always wore a ball cap when I was outside. Skin cancer cured me of that. Lost the top of my ear down to the cartilage a few months ago. Skin graft from my shoulder fixed it

Please be careful in the Sun!

I hate that for you. A skin graft has to be very painful.

You got me to thinking about this and how very, very stupid we were in high school. I don't see how I ever escaped skin cancer. We thought a dark tan would add to our cool factor, and we would go sit by the pool, slather on oil, and just fry in the sun. I was burned so bad one time that I had oozy blisters .

The skin graft didn’t hurt at all. GREAT local anesthetic! Pain came later that night. I was proud of having the top of my ear back until a few days later my cousin told me it looked like a dog chewed on it :). Now the stitches and swelling are gone its fine.

I was the same about the Sun in high school. Not as much as on purpose just ignored the danger.

I think we all did. I don't even know if there was any spf suntan stuff back then. We probably wouldn't have used it if there was, just stupid, stupid.

The kids caught a ton of bass last night.
They're going to fry them with an egg/flour dip in peanut oil.

Yikes Jim!

I sure hope that's the last of it for you. I hope those are dissolving stitches too.

Not as bad as it looks! First couple days it was straws and soft foods. Hot coffee through a straw was an experience. My cousin helped. She brought Orange Sherbet pushups :)

Stitches are the old fashioned kind. Going in Friday to have them removed.

I hope its the last one too!

Finally made it to Churchill's Market again.
I haven't been there in years.
It's like Mecca to me.

It's a high end type grocery store in Toledo.
I found a lot of hard to find items as well as a couple of surprises.
Their deli is out of this world.
Picked up a nice pumpkin too for my front porch.
