Observation / Poll: Are the cooks of the household skinnier than their mate?

From my observations the cook of the house is skinnier. I know of a few households, including my own where that is true. Now I'm wondering if there is anything to that observation. Does it hold true with others or does it vary per family?
I'm wondering if doing the cooking keeps you thinner overall? Poll is simply a yes or no but I'm hoping you will expand on your thoughts in a post.

In my case it is true. I'm trying to get hubby (300+) to lose some weight but no go so far.

In our household, this is not true. Jerry is ever skinny - eats whatever he wants, whenever he wants, never gains weight. I'm pretty sure that the calories in the food I'm cooking just jump out of the pan and land on me. Not fair.

I am the primary, mostly the only cook - DW tends to do baking & puds when we have them.

does that mean if I live alone I can take my weight and divided it by two, I like that idea. Looking for a used treadmill this week.

I am the cook, DH was banned from cooking in the kitchen years ago. He can eat anything and everything he wants and not gain a pound. He's been Blessed with an amazing metabolism...me, on the other hand...not so much that's why I joined WW (and I'm gonna be there for a while)

Thanks everybody. From the responses it seems there is nothing to my observation. We all have different metabolisms and some of us cook and some of us don't. Whether we do or don't does not impact our overall size. What will be will be.

When I'm home, I'm the cook. PeppA is bigger than I am. However, right now, I'm only home 2 nights a week.

FWIW, I voted NO.

lol, que sarah sarah, doc. :D

we share cooking duties, but dw is skinnier than me because she loves to workout.

i used to exercise, but i'd rather be playing a sport for exercise rather than just lift things up and put them down.

I am the only cook in this house.
Gretchen weighs 5 lbs.
I tip the scales at around 150 now.

She's my only mate.. so I'd say she's the thinner and Mommy is the fatter.
She does like my cooking...
