Please advise on cusinart

I couldn't decide between the two other than price but would guess the motor in the more expensive on is stronger. I have the Cuisinart DLC-10S Pro Classic 7 cup that I absolutely love though sometimes wished had gotten the 11 cup. The 14 cups are just way more than I would ever need but love all the Cuisinart Food Processors. I have bought extra blades for mine which also work in the 11 cup version. Parts are available for all the Cuisinart which I wished I had know before I bought a GE several years ago. One little plastic edge busted on the bowl making it useless and no replacement parts made for it at all.

I do have 11 cup, as well as mini chopper, which I got as the present, but always wanted 14 cup, I probably coul even use 20 cup, but I simply cannot affort one at this time.

I went and watch some videos fro cusinart, outside of the "dough" botton and supposedtly stronger motor, I do not see reason for the newer one. And I know it will not be used for the dough for sure. I think I should go and try to talk them out of waisting money.

My little 7cup has a 500 watt motor while my KA stand mixer only has a 300 watt motor. I've actaually made pizza dough in mine too and it worked perfectly. I made it using the recipe by Keller on the DVD that came with it. My wife made the apple pie that was also on the DVD and it turned out prefectly too. Really some great recipes on the DVD though I went to the site and got the hard copy of them.

i once owned a Cuisinart, and was about to get another one, but I chose the KA KPFPF850PM instead because of its larger work bowl and versatilities.

I have the first one...except in white. I don't know why they are calling it "new" when I've had mine for several years...the only difference I can see is that mine is white and is on on the discontinued page  Anyway, I love it. It does everything I've wanted it to do. I've never used the second one so I can't compare the two but I have been very pleased with mine and would recommend it to anyone.

Looks like they now might be dropping the older style for the newer one - the one that was recently introduced in new dark gray styling.

The beauty of Cuisinart is they still make parts even if discontinued unlike many other makers of these things. I would bet the new bowls as well as other parts would work fine on your also. I had a great GE 9 cup food processor for years until one little plastic piece on the bowl broke off and no chance of getting a new bowl. I now have a Cuisinart and will stick with them from now on as they make parts that are interchangeable from model to model. It is like buying a computer if you can't buy new sound cards, video card etc with out dealing with the original manufacture it to me is useless regardless of how well it is rated.

I went through this last year. I check and without measuirng the work bowl, am not sure what size I have; I think I have a 7 cup (Cuisinart) - and let me tell you - the bowl is VERY broad. I'm not sure if larger machines have a taller or wider workbowl, but mine takes up a LOT of room in the dishwasher.

I think if you had a 20 cup, you'd be sorry and surprised.

I have all of the different sizes of Cuisinart processors [all of the old square base ones anyway].

I think the 20 cup model is absolutely awesome and I have all of the disks for mine. I don't think you would be sorry, but different strokes for different folks.
