Yes, I loved that house. We were
*on the end. Going out the back door and down the ginnel (alley) took me directly to the downtown city center of Normanton.
I loved shopping at the Co-op market, and going down for market day (good bargains! lol).. the butchers, Greggs bakery, the little chip shops and pubs tucked all around is what made the move from West Ardsley to there very special.
That house was 1 of 3 Steve and I looked at, and I fell in love with Normanton at first sight.
When you drive through that area (as any area of Yorkshire) the countryside is peppered with farms and stone walls, you might see a castle ruin in the most unlikely place (like right next to a shopping mall).
It's old world meets new.
