Mozzarella Chicken Bake
This is an easy weeknight meal that the entire family will love!!!
RECIPE - Makes 4 servings
INGREDIENTS:
4 thinly sliced boneless, skinless chicken breasts
8 Tbsp Rao’s marinara sauce
salt & pepper to taste
garlic powder to taste
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
2 oz fresh mozzarella cheese if desired
dried or fresh parsley for garnish
STEPS:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Place the chicken in a greased casserole dish.
3. Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
4. Spread about 2 Tbsp of marinara sauce over each breast.
5. Bake for 20 minutes or until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit. *Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the breasts.
6. Remove from the oven and sprinkle in the shredded mozzarella. Add the fresh mozzarella slices too if desired.
7. Broil for a few minutes until the cheese starts to brown and is bubbly.
8. Garnish with parsley.
