Monday - June 15th - Whats for Dinner?

Well, it was going to be BLTs and potato chips....

Chow... you just made my kitten happy. She knows if I cook bacon she gets some. I'm having a BLT for lunch!

Chow that looks so good! After being on vacation these past few days, I really shouldn't eat anything! I must have gained at least 5 lbs! But....I shall make chicken parmesan to make everyone happy :smile:

yes, chilled. you'll appreciate this.

most of the italian americans i know love to drink chilled red wine, which i thought was pretty nasty. it wasn't until i realized that the reason for it was the "real" old school italians made their own red wine, which was a little on the rough side :unsure: at room temp. chilled made it much more palatable, and you can suck down a lot more.

so trow it in the ice box

getting back to squares: dinner tonight for us will probably be grilled chicken and sweet onions, maybe some grilled shrimp.

I always drink my merlot chilled, tastes so much better that way...at least I think so
 
Having semi-recently began purchasing wine to cook with, and not wanting it to go bad between recipes, I've started drinking wine. Chilled is the only way I will drink the red port I sometimes use cooking. I have drank wine room temp in the past.... but then I've also drank room temp beer before, too. Not for me.
 
I'm making duck breast. I'll show you how it comes out.

Heck, I'll even try to write down how much of everything I use so I can post a recipe to go with the pic.
 
I'm going to grill some chicken thighs. I'll simply season them and hold the sauce. I also have some veggies to use up, some bell pepper pieces, shrooms.... I'll add onion and broccoli.... I'll make up some kind of rice stir fry with those.
 
Just back from a long boating weekend. Big Macs for us tonight. :hide:
 
I'm doing one of my favorite summer meals tonight--spicy boiled shrimp with cocktail sauce and crackers. If there are any leftovers, they will be shrimp salad tomorrow.
 
Nothing wrong with Big Macs. I wish they made them bigger.

frankly not the worst of the frozen delicacies I have been eating lately

my goal is to have a kitchen by next week... not sure if it will happen but getting closer to reality

we have double big macs on the menu here... and as a person who is engaged to a former mcd's manager..you just have to ask them to add however many pieces of meat you desire to your burger. of course it is extra but i always get a double big mac

Right now, our MickeyD's are having them two for 3 bucks.
I bought two.. one for a late night snack, and one for tomorrow's lunch.:brows:
I have fallen off the wagon in a big BIG way lately.
Perhaps next month I'll do a juice fast, and get back on the veggie track! lol
