Monday, 5/16/2011, What's making it's way to the table?

I bought some small chicken tenders a while back at the grocery store. They had them on sale for .99/lb. I bought a bunch and put them in the freezer. They're not good for anything more than soups, stews or casseroles but that's pretty cheap for white meat with no bone. I just got a package out of the freezer to make some Chicken Noodle Soup for dinner.

I am leaning towards chicken also. I bought whole small chickens when on sale. Maybe roasted whole or in pieces or fried.

is it monday?....... to the previously mentioned polish place on this block. for kielbossy & a few packs of thier incense & 'at. it's nary 7:32. so i shant bother making my way there to find they're closed, yet. nap. then check later on.

I buy those too. I use them for stir fry & chix salad. I add them to fried rice also. I even put them on my fancy dancy spinach salad  or on a cobb salad or just a plain salad with strips of ham , hard boiled eggs etc etc.
I use them a lot.

I do use them for stir-fry. Hadn't thought about using them for salads though. Great idea!

You could make chicken satay (marinated & skewered on the grill) with a peanut dipping sauce. I'm off to the market to pick up coconut milk, limes, ginger, and/or peanut sauce to serve over rice with grilled green onions.

Stuffed bell peppers, slowly sauteed cabbage for DH, TJ's spinach salad, maybe some leftover mashed potatoes that I'll fry. Strawberries for dessert.

Our kitchen is officially closed as we are heading north tomorrow and the AM after respectively. It's bar food tonight for sure.

You can't skewer these, they are way too small. They're not like the regular tenders. They are just as good but much, much smaller. They look like chicken scraps in the package because they are so small...I guess that's why they are only .99/lb.

Chicken breasts stuffed with spinach, ham and two kinds of cheese. Roasted potatoes and onions and some green beans.

Here are the skewered vegetables and shrimp. I also charred some poblanos, peeled and mixed them with cheese, onions and an egg and roasted them until the cheese was melted. It wasn't very photogenic though.

Oh Norm!!!! That looks wonderful!

Here's my soup. I bought some sub rolls at the Publix bakery. I sliced and grilled them to have instead of crackers.

Norm and Mama - BEAUTIFUL dinners!!

We had fried pork chops, mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts with onions and bacon. I made mac and cheese for DH and the kids. They won't touch brussels sprouts. LOL.

Whole wheat penne with tomatoes and basil from the garden, grilled zucchini, eggplant, red peppers and mushrooms. Think Lou may be having a chicken wing with his.
I'm off the meat during the week, and limiting the proteins to fish for the weekend...with one meat splurge during the month. I really want a burger MemorialWeekend!

Your soup looks delish, Mama. Everyone's dinners look & sound delish as well. I was tired & feeling under the weather, so I wound up with a rotisserie chicken, side salads & fruit.

oh, man. someone won a game here. i'm not contending with the beepnig, yelling, nor the general annoyance. enough is enough! off to somewhere or another where the music is louder than the annoyance.

I found a package of 2 lamb shoulder chops today.
I loved them.
Pan seared for about 5 minutes per side with some Uncle Ben's rice and french style green beans.
I think I am going to be going to Meijer again for these.
They did have other lamb chops, but there were like 6 or 8 in the package.
