Have you noticed McCormick's cute little Recipe Inspiration cards with blister packs of spices and a recipe?
Found some on sale, decided to try a few. These are basically just
a deconstructed spice mix package, with no salt. (You add that yourself).
A different way of marketing.... nice!
Shrimp & Pasta Primavera included pre-measured Dill Weed, Minced Garlic,
Minced Onions, Coarse Ground Black Pepper and Thyme Leaves.
You added shrimp, veggies, cream, chicken broth, parmesan cheese and linguine.
We were impressed. Spices were nicely balanced and the dish wasn't stuffed
with strange things like preservatives, salt and such!
And the best part is that since they provide a handy recipe card, I don't
have to buy another pack of spices, since I have these on hand!
Also got a Carribbean Steak and a Chicken Tikka Masala to try.
