Where did everyone go? Seems like lots of folks are vacationing. Hope they all come back with lots of pictures.

I'm here, Joe. I've been dealing with a lot of personal stuff so I come in to read most of the time.

DW and I were out of town. Spent two nights at Cavalier, North Dakota, and drove down to Mountain, North Dakota for their annual Duece of August festival. I'll be uploading pix soon. Her cousin lives there, her birth mother was raised there. She's half Icelandic and proud of it!
The whole shebang was a serious excuse for lotsa drinking. I did a few beers in myself! Her cousin's daughter was fairly in the bag by mid morning!
Anyhow, was a fun time to reconnect with folks seldome seen.
The Festival can be searched by using "Duece of August" and Mountain, North Dakota as keywords.

Well, that's two souls heard from. Glad your still with us. Maybe more will be heard from overnight. Nite-nite, y'all.

Me, I have been busy with my mother, the house and facebook. It really is addictive. I leave my computer on most of the day and on the page no matter what I am doing in the house.

Soccer has been keeping me pretty busy. Justin's 1st game was Saturday - he won 16-0. Kyle's 1st game is tomorrow as well as Justin's 2nd game. Can't go to Justin's because it's in Bristol and Kyle's is at home which sucks. Tomorrow I also have to go line the U-12 field before their game and set the refs up. It's been pretty stressful yet fun! I have also been doing laundry like crazy to get ready for Mohican next week!

Hope you are doing well Joe!!

Isn't Facebook fun? So many long lost relatives and friends found me there.

Yea- My family is mostly in Mich. I been in Calif. Since "79'-
my 16 year old daughter informed me, she is good friends with a bunch of her cousins in Mich. from face book. LOL. I didn't believe her till she showed me!
My daughter is friends with a bunch of my Nieces and Nephews Kids.
I never even knew they existed. LOL

Here're a few scenes from the parade which lasted nearly an hour. Classic cars served as floats for dignitaries who hailed from Iceland.
The color guard, as always, is a WWII-era Jeep, festooned with the flags. The gent in the back seat is DW's cousin.

Lemme see if I can find a few more.....Many classic cars and a few restored antique tractors. The 730 JD was a real sweetheart!

They had a kiddie pedal tractor pull. It was fun to watch! The 4-yr old class had 1st, 2nd, AND 3rd places taken by GIRLS!!!!!

Nice pics Biskit!

I haven't been posting on here much because I've been working on an e-cookbook. I check in several times a day but don't always post.
