Looking for Horse Radish

horseradish sauce is easy to make..

i use a sour cream base
some dijon mustard
a little mayo
sometimes some chives
and of course horseradish

i start with 2 tablespoons of horseradish...then i had 4 parts sour cream to one part mayo add a little mustard, then taste..from there i adjust to suit my taste...sometimes i like it a little hotter, sometimes milder...

My MIL used to have some process that seemed to turn her kitchen into a superfund site. I've no clue why, but it certainly wasn't simple. It may have been an excuse to drink lots of wine.

It's in my fridge at all times.

I am going to try the sandwich Pal. Looks good.
My wife does not want the sauce, she wants the pure,
(In a jar) or- what the heck does a Horseradish look like?
I know it is a root. Does most stores sell them?
I am sure with living in SF Bay Area. We have stores for 100 Nationalities, I am
sure I can find it. But, a little help would be welcomed.

You can get it in jar form or pure root at most grocery stores in most places in the US. It is pretty common around here.

Dude, you want regular "prepared horseradish". :bonk:

The brand I usually buy is Gold's, it's in the refridgerated section with cheese and crap. Some recipes want you to squeeze all the liquid out, so take note of that.
