Looking for a T&T recipe for coconut custard pie.

We had a recipe for Coconut Custard pie, but lost it. grrrrrrr!
Dad used to order them from Philly PA. and bake them himself.
I love coconut custard pie, but not with a wet filling.
Anyone have a recipe for this pie?

I use the basic recipe out of an old Betty Crocker cookbook for a custard pie and then use their versions for coconut and/or chocolate cream pie. It makes a nice firm but still soft filling. I top with meringue and toasted coconut if making coconut cream.

The only Betty Crocker one I can find has a Bisquick crust. Impossibly Easy Coconut Pie

The pie my Grandmother used to make did have the custard base, but it seemed the coconut was always browned and crunchy on top. Maybe that's what Jimmy is looking for.
