Poor Joe got the short end of that deal. All he got was a cleaver block and I got this beautiful nakiri that is razor sharp.

You are more than welcome, and those HA strops in my opinion are better than anything I've found for maintaining an edge. Hence I always buy 2 of everything I get from them.

My cutting board is about 9x13 granite and matches my countertops. Cut from the same slab. I’m sure my knives will love this

We have two maple, end-grain cutting boards by Boardsmith.

Storage is an issue in our home, so we store them below the spice rack.

Our youngest niece made this board for the fella a few years back.

Then I have a simple bamboo board that I call my "landing deck." I use it when canning and cooking so I don't have to set blistering items directly on the quartz countertop. It stores right behind the sink and there is a small space between the sink and the stove as seen in the first picture above.
