No, no, no... they didn't mess around with anything there :shock:
And I think they did it just as a precaution for a collapsed lung.
 
Thank you all for the well wishes. I am home now.

The problem - I have a lot of trouble with allergies and I have a deviated septum. As a result, when I exercise, my lungs get tired from trying to take in lots more air. This manifests itself as a pain in the chest. Lesson #1 don't tell your cardiologist that your chest hurts. He decides to do a stress test and an angioplasty. Well, they found nothing. They did not have to insert anything.

Now I get to go find out what to do about the allergies.

By the way, the procedure was painless, I was awake the whole time and got to watch my arteries on TV. Hasd they found anything they would have inserted a dtend. which is a wire mesh over a balloon. They drive into the problem area and blow up the baloon that expands the stent. then they deflate the balloon and drive back out. There are tow kinds of stents bare metal and medicated. The medicated ones hav a medicine to try and keep things from growing on the stent and closing up again. You have to take blood thinners after you get a stent. I am glad that I avoided all that.
