it's wednesday! dinner 6/13/12

DW climbed out of the sack / chair today, and had to get something at the store.... anyway, she brought back some rigatoni and chopped meat from trimmings, and made a meat sauce using jar and adding her own spices.
GD is over today, and staying overnight so gram could take her to work tomorrow.
She has no car. Totaled it 3 days after putting 600.00 in repairs into it.
Some lady rear ended her> She was ok, but the car wasn't.
She is looking, along with her Dad to pick one up.
I had like only 9 rigatoni with cheese and sauce minus the meat. I don't like meat sauce.
I will have a sandwitch later. I'm moving "S" around on the back deck so I could continue power washing it. I'll finish it tomorrow, and a day to dry, and then I'll re-stain it. Saturday.

Wowdy Dow .... What a great looking Pie!!
I got the same fan exact Lasko fan exhausing the house and pulling in the cool air from outside.
My kitty loves the sound (white noise ) and sleeps right in front of the intake.
Them fans can move 2200 cfm at (0)Zero static. Mine is pushing on a screen mesh so that cuts in down a bit. Like 20%
Doesn't Bailey get a little crust?

My fan is single purpose - draw cigar smoke outta this place and release its wonderful aroma to the rest of the world.
Bailey's only non dog food treat is a few early morning tidbits I cut from smoked garlic sausage while she shows me all her tricks.

Chicken chow mein and crab rangoon for me today.
Don't know why, but the chow mein wasn't exactly what I was expecting.
Then again, it's the first time I'd ever ordered it for take-away, as much as I get Chinese take out.
It was pale white chicken.. roughly chopped pieces of cabbage and onion in an equally pale white garlicky tasting sauce---with crispy noodles.
I had to doctor it.. once dumping it over white rice with some soy sauce and duck sauce packets.
Thank God I had some crab rangoon to munch on as well.
Sorry Hu.. I won't be getting that again.
Best to stick with my favourites from now on.

Dinner guests tonight...
CLam chowder for the main dinner...still cold and gray here in Issy. It's the perfect soup day.
I've known about this get together for over a month and still haven't decided on apps or desserts. House is a mess as son spent the last week with us. I loved having him here but for some reason there was three times the mess and I didn't do any housework.... oh and the brand new dishwasher broke...service can't come fix it until tomorrow. :-(
The folks invited tonight are really really in to food. He's Persian and one of the best cooks that I know. I'd better get off my butt and start thinking!
