With all he whack jobs running around out there, it very possibly is real. My son is a video editor (Smoke & Flame), and I have seen some of the things he has blended into a video...amazing chit! Yes, it could me a fooler also.

I say fake, that had to be 250 feet and I don't think he would gathered enough speed for that distance. The ramp wasn't that big. I'll post an example.

Real! That was me at Great Wolf lodge this week! (after several Bud light limes!):yum:

wow! great job man!!! :whistling:

Its fake. The kinetic energy from the jump would have him making a MUCH bigger splash and moving the pool PLUS possiblely tipping the pool over or ripping the sides. :bounce:

Fake. I saw this on another forum. The guy looks like he's gaining speed both at the bottom transition of the slide and in the air, which is impossible without some sort of propulsion.

I think it’s real. They put way too much effort into this, including wind readings, trials with a weighted dummy, a full website, and more. There is more to the video.

Besides being able to approximate this with a weighted dummy, the physics of it are easily done on paper. Just do the math, then build the ramp, try it with a dummy (which they did) and go for it. Brave soul for sure!

That may have been oil they put on the ramp and not water. Plus, when he hits the water, watch it carefully, and there is forward propulsion. Also, that pool doesn’t look like the air filled blow-up jobs we can get here at WalMart (these guys are German). Watch when his friends come up and lean on the pool, and then when he climbs out. It does not give at all. Looks solid.

Watch more of the video here.

...My two cents...

It's fake, but a darn good one...at least it looks like it COULD be possible, under the right circumstance. But a little over-done. Although I wouldn't mind giving a water slide, like that, a shot...looked like fun.
