I think I ran the dishwasher without soap !!!

The dishes look okay, some needed to be rinsed, but do you all think we'll get sick from dishes that otherwise look okay? I mean, I know for clothes, they can get clean without soap.

I ran the load on Quick and Hot, like I usually do. And it's dishes that I don't usually use, also... sadly ...
 
Most DW soap is just there to cut grease. The hot water and heating element get the chamber above 160 degrees to kill bacteria. The heat kills the nasties, the soap busts the grease. If your dishes aren't greasy or clumped with goo, then your ok.
 
This is a little off topic here, Dishwasher soap like Cascade® works great to clean out the brown stain in coffee pots. Just put it with HOT! water and leave on the coffee warmer for 2-3 hrs. then wash it out. I have tried commercial coffee pot cleaners and dish washer soap is far better.IMO
