Jim Slagle got me thinking about this so tell me - how do you fold your fitted sheets when you get them out of the wash?

Take them out of dryer.
Hold up in front of me.
Fold in half, then fold again.. don't worry much about tucking the corner jazz.
A nice little semi-neat bundle thrown in the linen closet :D

On matching sides of the sheet, put your fingers in the pocket formed by the elastic bands.
Bring those fingers together and pinch hold the point of the pocket.
Repeat on the other two pockets.

THis creates a "Square edge" for the fitted corners, allowing you to fold the
freaking bothersome thing more like you would a non-fitted sheet.

Personally, I'd rather have an old fashioned tuck in bottom sheet.

I try to get a neat little bundle (match ends, fold, fold again), and then I make a long rectangle out of the flat sheet and tuck the fitted inside it along with the pillow cases. Once the fitted is inside the flat, it looks pretty neat.

I try to do it like Kemchee...but... it never looks very neat.

Most of the time I wash the sheets and then put them right back on the bed just so I don't have to fold them.

That's brilliant! And it would keep the entire set together. No more hunting for the matching pillow cases.

My wife takes them off the bed to wash and once done rolls them up and stuffs them into the pillow cases then into the linen closet till needed. She hasn't used an iron now in 30 years either, though she only allows me to buy wash and wear cloths.

I usually just put them back on the bed from the dryer..but when I do put a different set on, it's the fold and roll:whistling:

Oh No! This will surprise no one that knows me. I nest all 4 corners together, they lay it flat on the bed. Then I bring the corner square, like I was wrapping a present. Now that it's nice and flat, continue to fold in a rectangle.

Really, when I'm done folding the top & bottom sheets, it's hard to tell which is which. And yeah, we even iron the top band on the top sheet so it looks pretty when you fold it back over the quilt.

I know, I know......I'm going to my room now.........

Based on your exquisite foodie photo presentations and the looks of your fabulous abode, it comes as no surprise to me Sage! :respect:

Martha Stewart could take lessons from you LOL

That's how I do it as well. Just nest all four corners, and you can easily get the rest to square up and fold right.

Something like this. Like cooksie said:

I do pretty much the same thing I fold in half and then in half again bring all four corners together and then fold down each side and then start folding sheet to smaller form.

Something like that :)
