Ingredients​

For the Stir Fry:​

  • 10 oz shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 7 oz smoked sausage, sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • For the Honey Garlic Sauce:
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional, for heat
  • For Garnish Optional:
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • Fresh green onions chopped

Instructions​

  • Prepare the Sauce:
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes (if using). Set aside.
  • Cook the Sausage:
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until the sausage is browned and slightly crispy.
  • Cook the Shrimp:
  • In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until they turn pink and opaque. Be careful not to overcook them.
  • Sauté the Broccoli:
  • Add the broccoli florets to the same skillet and sauté for about 4-5 minutes, or until they are tender-crisp. You can add a splash of water and cover the skillet for a minute to steam the broccoli, if desired.
  • Combine and Add the Sauce:
  • Pour the prepared honey garlic sauce over the mixture.
  • Toss everything together and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce thickens slightly and everything is well coated.
  • Serve:
  • Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds and freshly chopped green onions, if desired. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
