Homemade Irish Cream Liqueur
Based on a recipe by Maida Heatter
Ingredients:
1 cup Irish whiskey (e.g., John Jameson)
1 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
4 eggs
2 Tablespoons vanilla extract
2 Tablespoons chocolate extract
1 Tablespoon coconut extract
1 Tablespoon powdered instant espresso (not granular instant coffee)
Directions:
In a blender mix all the ingredients at low speed until well-blended. Transfer to a bottle with a tight cover or small bottles and refrigerate overnight or longer. Shake before serving and serve very cold. Keeps one month.
 
i make this every christmas, along with amaretto and kahluha... very good recipe

i read the ingredients on a popular irish cream maker that there is honey in it... i still havent figured out how to incorporate it but i will try again soon

for the coffee you can also steep some regular coffee grounds or stronger kind in hot water the night b4
 
So does it really taste like Bailey's? I can't figure out where the coconut is coming from....
