These were found on my father’s family farm, outside of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, by his father, Otto. The farm had been an Indian camp, up from Indian Creek off Cottage Grove Ave. They have been in our garage for decades and finally got them out as my wife wanted an arrowhead to put on a dream catcher she is making in a VA open studio group.

Spectacular! Which is the wampum? Oh, I just looked it up - the white and purple shells from quahogs. Nice!

Well, since my son no longer goes there to cook, we have no cause to visit. I’ll miss the raw clams, best lobsters ever, and the nude beach. Get some donuts for me.
