I have a similar recipe that uses puff pastry instead of the crescent rolls. I don't remember where I got it - it's on a hand-written piece of paper that I've had for years.

Lay out a sheet of puff pastry, top with the mustard, cheese, ham, etc. roll it up like a jelly roll, then slice it like you would for cinnamon rolls. Lay on a sheet, brush with butter (with or without garlic), and bake. Great for a party.
