Got a New Years present from Cablevision

Food Network and HGTV are both gone - Looks like permanently.
Any clue on why they choose to drop those two channels instead of some of the other crapola channels they carry?
Hulu might be a way you can get your favorite shows ..never looked for those on there though, so not sure.

Noooooooo!

Directv = LIARS!

Look into Fios!

What is the problem with Directv HC, I've had them no since they bought out Hughes Net which I started with. They have been great for me in 4 states so far. I now have HD though them and love it and their prices have stayed constant for me. I have never used pay for view though or their TV on demand nor do I have a Tivo setup by them.

i had a few problems with directv .. first was where they installed the dish ..
then the wiring .. i paid extra for all new wiring .. they just spliced into
the old cable lines ..
once a week we had to have them reset the boxes because they would just read trying to aqcuire signal ..
then the dish got smacked by a lighting bolt .. sent out a service tech ..
the wires were all fryed up to the ground .. i ended up having to help him run the wires because it was to difficult to feed them under the deck by himself .. or maybe it was because he so obese he could not bend over ..
although the prices were good .. when we had a tornado hit the area
and we had no idea because we had no tv .. that was enough ...

Doc, it is the same thing as is going on with Fox. Scrips network owns both channels. They want more $$ from Cablevision per viewer and Cablevision will not pay it.

I just had that sinking feeling that you get when the door slams behind you and you are locked in. I have TV, phone and Internet from Cablevision. My only alternative would be FIOS. I have not looked a their channel lineup.

Seems that Fox and Time Warner reached a deal yesterday Andy..
I didn't even know about it until a short while ago.
