Goat meat: Let's discuss

LOVE IT! The younger the goat the better the meat. I use it in the same recipes that I use lamb.

Last time we were in Greece the old lady next door butchered a very young goat early in the morning and we had the best BBQ for lunch. Oh the memories my tummy has!
 
I LOVE goat meat. Find the flavor a cross between lamb & beef. Used to have a local source for it, but they stopped raising it so I'm now - very sadly - goat bereft.

When I had it available, I used to use the ground for "goat burgers", & the chops for curries. Terrific meat. Am so sad that my local source dried up.

Oh - the goat burgers were GREAT. I used to add in some feta cheese, chopped pitted kalamata olives, some dried oregano. Now you've got me drooling. . . lol!! And angry that the local farm stopped raising meat goats. Especially since they told me the demand outweighed the supply - said they sold out faster than they could supply it. Wouldn't you think? Well. . . . whatever.
