Sean - so you were at the Sunset Beach Bar. I used to hang out there - been to SXM around 150 times. The hotel in the background is the Maho and that's where i used to stay. The 747 is way low. His rear gear truck would have had a close call with the rounded down portion at the beginning of the runway. The AA 757, that's what I used to fly into St. Maarten, is just about right on glide slope. Very cool pics.

Hell ya, we've been to St.Martin about 11 times. We know the 1st guys to own the SSBB--Brad and Neil. The last guy , John was a major douchebag.
We loved the island (eh, except when I fell off the wall and broke my foot)
We haven't been back since 04', crime really started getting bad.

B & N didn't own it. They had a lease, and a long one at that. I wonder why they gave the place up?
Brad was such a yuppie. I used to kid him about that all the time. Neil and his Harley and that beautiful island; now there was a combination. I used to jump on the back and we would ride off after closing time to party in places out of the tourists' eyes. One day I brought three of my F/A's along and Neil took us to a remote little cove in his boat. Beer, sun, and bikinis. Cold, hot, and hotter.
We have more to chat about, Sean. I have stories about the golf course, flashing landing lights so the bar would stay open, Cupecoy Beach, the casino.... love that little island.

LOL, Brads Bday is the same as mine......mans did that ever put a hurt on me.
Were you going there when the blond girl with her pilots lic. worked there?
She was quite a mankiller
Funny, I do remember seeing one of the little white/orange/black single prop island jumpers doin a hard right bank around the bar--so close I could see the copilot tellin us to get beer ready
BTW...I'm the king of the tidybowl shots--they put it on the counter for me with a long straw.
