You know, Software companies used to actually pay professionals to test out their software for bugs before releasing it to the public...

Now they just use the public to test it...

I just upgraded from 2000 to 2007, somebody else found all the bugs so it works great for me! I got a good 8 years out of Office 2000 Pro, hopefully I will get just as much out of 2007 Enterprise. Heck, there are a whole bunch of programs in 2007 Enterprise that i haven't even opened up, explored, or figured out yet!

Office 2000 pro still does all I need. I have Office 2007 at work and do not care for the interface. I'm sticking with 2000 for now. (In the back of my head I'm thinking the older I get the more I sound like my dad :hide: :yum:)

LOL Doc. I am still running 2000 Pro on my computer, but Vista is not liking it. DW has a new HP computer and it came with 2007 Enterprise and Vista on it and it is working great. But, everything is so different that there is a huge learning curve there.
Left to myself I would use 2000 Pro until the end of time, but with all the problems it is having running on Vista I feel like I am being left no choice but to either dump Vista or dump 2000 Pro for 2007 Enterprise.

LOL Mav, I guess I should have mentioned, I opted for XP instead of Vista. I have 6 computers, most run XP, one runs CentOS Linux and one runs ....dare I say it Windows 2000 professional. :hide: If the OS works I resist the upgrade (when possible).

I know how you feel, I try and stay a step behind at least when it comes to operating systems. I do have all my full operating systems from 3.1 on up except Vista but that is because I just now got a couple of computers that are running Vista on them.
It was perfect timing as Windows 7 is taking up everyone's attention now!

I am kind of in Doc's boat.
6 computers.

3 on XP, an XP laptop, one on Vista and an iMac

SOme are using office 2000.

I di have install CD's for MSDOS 6.22, Windoes 95, Windows 98, Windows Millennium, Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista.

>> dump Vista or dump 2000 Pro for 2007 Enterprise.

I've stuck with the Office 2003 batch - seems quite happy on Vista (I run it on XP and Vista)

the 2003 stuff is pretty cheap - even "new in box"
