Dinner Friday Oct 30

Thanks, Blues.
Scroll up for the sauce, Mr Green Jean's posted it in this thread. Simple and good.

Wow on that platter! I would love to eat that, but don't have near the patience to make it. Mine would have to be in the form of a salad ;^)

and so far...a fair amount of Gentleman Jack. This might have been the first whiskey I've actually purchased. I'm a bourbon and scotch sort of gal

Chow, 2 sandwiches ??? Guess I can't blame you, looks great!

Vera, those mussels look great. That's one of my wife's favorites. You have some good baguette to go with it?

Oooooh, Peep, that brings back so many memories! When I lived in MA, I couldn't get enough of the fantastic baked, stuffed clams.

Unconundrom.......awesome looking fish!!

Fred!!!!! I hope you saved me some! I'll be by tomorrow to pick it up.

Blues Man.......those sure look tasty!

Ooh Vera.......my favorite Mussels.

Peeps..... looks good.

thank you barb.

Great food!
No pizza, I had a god damned corn dog from A&W, with a root beer.
Oh joy.
It's going toward 3am... popcorn?
No, I'll have another beer and go to beddy byes soon. ;)

Yeah, just two, Warren. Today's another day :^D

I'll fix a bag, Barb (lol).

I love stuffed clams, Peeps. Those look gorgeous. Nice color on top. I've never seen just the shells offered around here for your own stuffing.

Those mussels would have made a good appetizer.

I'm not in York... I live in Bechtelsville, a little town West of Allentown, East of Reading, North of Pottstown... I was actually thinking of some more Artic Char (did that last Friday and it was great) but the pieces were too big so I opted for the striped bass. It's a little stand at a farmer's market called Zerns. He always has some beautiful fish, and will get in anything you want to order. Only open Friday and Saturday.

Is that oven in your kitchen?????????????????????????? If so, can I borrow it some time????

Oh Chow, you're so funny!! Just buy the clams, pull out the clam, chop him up a bit, make the stuffing, add the clam (or put him back in the shell) top with stuffing and bake!! :flowers:

Vera, it's an outdoor oven, but right next to my kitchen which is not likely to disappoint :) You're welcome to come play anytime. You're not THAT far away. Nice daytrip :)

Well I've seen empty escargot shells, I thought clam shells would come the same way. I just didn't know. thffft ;^P (lol)
I don't know if I've ever seen clams around here large enough to make worth stuffing though... Maybe at the new seafood store... Thanks for the heads up.

That's the kind of stuff I love Peep :) mmmmmm
thank you

chow you need to buy the live clams.

Thanks peeps, I gathered that from Vera's post, but from what I've seen of the clams offered around me, they almost wouldn't be worth stuffing. I'll have to do some hunting for larger ones because those look delicious.
