As usual, our kitchen is closed on Friday.

Not sure which local establishment we'll be visiting tonight. What's on your menu/agenda for tonight?

:alc:

I have three beautiful Smoked Piglet Chops, for the grill, some baby gold spuds and a handful of 'dem 'der baby cabbages that I love so................ plenty of salad fixin's as well, but I'm leaning toward Cukes 'n Onions.............

Ribs, gyros, bulgogi fried rice, hummus, cuke and mater salad, whatever other leftovers I can dig out of the Frigidaire....

In the mood for Moroccan/Middle Eastern. There are a couple of good places. One has schwarma (sp), falafel, quail & great salads. The other has my fave Bastilla (chicken/almond pie), etc.... & bellydancing. Still early.

Early indications from home are that Wifey may be in the mood for Margaritas. So I'm guessing we're probably headed to one of the local Mexican places around here. That's not so bad :)

working late here too.

have to run home for my dinner hour-ish to swap the tv's around. the samsung upstairs died. hopefully it's just the caps in the power supply as i've read today, from the symptoms.

so dinner will be whatever i grab tonight after midnight. maybe thai.

Pan fried bone-in center cut pork loin chop with packaged gravy made with water and pan drippings, steamed baby carrots and corn on the cob, ugly ripe tomato dressed with EVOO, sea salt, ground pepper, fresh basil and several grinds of herb and spice blend.

Very nice lookin tomatoes you grew SS....Cannot believe the size for this early in the summer....

Thank you. But I live in southern Florida. My tomatoes have been coming in for a couple weeks now. By mid-July it will be too hot and too wet here for tomatoes. We'll be eating the ones shipped down from Canada.

Then we get a second crop in the fall.

THX , SS - I've always nuked my pan-fried spuds before, but I saw Ina (Barefoot Contessa) use a combinatation of butter and olive oil to allow an increase in heat without the "sticking" that would normally occur......... I told the Warden it wouldn't work, in my view............shame on ME !

Beautiful tomatoes SS!!

Lucky!! - Your dinner looks fantastic!! My mom used to get smoked pork chops when I was a kid. I haven't been able to find any .

Sass - My daughter took that pic and when I went to take the pics off the camera I found it. I thought it looked cute. LOL
