Fully purged and ready for the pot
The Extras
The Boil Pot with the Extras (I cook them first) I use salt, liquid crawfish boil concentrate, powdered boil spice and the super spicy bags of spice.
Finally the crawfish get their bath. When done a bag or two of ice goes in the pot to stop the cooking and the mud bugs get a 20 to 25 minute soak. They are drained and put in a cooler until the feast.
Make sure to have plenty of ice cold Abita beer to quench your thirst from all that "hard" work of sucking heads and pinching tail!
