Resident Crone
This recipe is so easy and tasty. It's not an original - the demo lady at Publx was making it one day. I make it on nights I don't want to do a lot of cooking, The meatballs are pre-made and frozen. Couldn't be easier!
2 T water
1 T butter
1 lb Homestyle Cooked Meatballs
5 tsp brown sugar
1 1/2 T chipotle pepper sauce
2 T sliced green onions
or
2 T chopped cilantro
Generous squeeze of lime (1-2 wedges)
Place water, butter & meatballs in a single layerr in a non-stick skillet. Cover & cook about 10 minutes over medium heat, swirling occasionally.
Add brown sugar, and cook uncovered 6-8 minutes, untill glazed, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat. Add chipotle sauce, onions or cilantro (I use both). Squeeze in the lime and serve hot.
