Broccoli Salad Ideas

I'm a big broccoli fan. Walking through the market, I noticed a broccoli salad in the Deli that looked delish. Here are some basic ideas. Use the seasonings of choice, & amounts you want.

Cold Broccoli Chicken Salad
Shredded cooked chicken
Lemon juice, to taste
Mayonnaise, to taste
broccoli florets (steamed & chilled)
slivered almonds
Grated Parmesan cheese

Another idea for a cold broc salad.

Broccoli Salad w/ Buttermilk Dressing
broccoli florets (steamed & chilled)
cherry tomatoes (halved - if desired)
red onions, cut in thin rings
S&P, to taste
Buttermilk dressing

And... If you're a *bacon fan, you could add it to the mix, but adjust or omit the salt.

At our last cookout I made Mama's broccoli salad and it was a sure winner!!

I was at a wedding Saturday and they served a broccoli salad with bacon, onions, mayo, grated cheese and raisins. It was very good.

Among our group of friends, one of them is always asked to bring her broccoli salad to potlucks...it sounds alot like this broccoli salad recipe, and everyone seems to like it alot.

I have not tried that recipe. The buttermilk dressing & combo of ingredients, really makes the dish for me.
