Anybody else have this fetish ??

I like matched sets. Have the white square dishes, bowls, etc. I do have too many soup bowls/mugs. Four of the soup mugs I've had for years. Can't seem to part with them. Each soup mug has a pic & recipe, i.e. Tomato Soup, Mushroom, Onion & Chicken Noodle. I picked up some beige soup bowls at the 99 cent store. Still would like to p/u some oriental soup bowls & spoons. (You would think I'm opening a soup kitchen lol.)

Coordinating (black &/or white) serving pieces from CB2 are a temptation. Have to dump the catalog whenever it arrives. I have matchy-matchy b/w place mats, & bamboo place mats.

This Dandelion caught my eye:

Usually when I set the table for dinner - which isn't very often - I use matching plates and glasses. But I have lots of different bowls and glasses and usually, dinner is set out on the counter in the kitchen buffet style and everyone chooses whatever kind of plate, bowl, etc. they want. (My boys seem to love piling everything into a large bowl for some reason.) Now coffee cups? They are all mugs and none of them match.

I picked up 1 each of the plate and bowl with the blue in the middle of the plate/blue on bottom of bowl from the dollar store (great $2.00 buy!! I went back 2 days later and they were all gone). I think that my mexican rice and beef, bean and cheese enchiladas look great on the plate.

You realize, of course, that your improper use of the much revered word 'fetish' will result in immediate and thorough disciplinary action. I'm afraid this will hurt you more than it hurts me.:brows:

i have a whole bunch of whatever but my favorite "plates" are old pyrex pie plates as they are nice and big and have high sides and can go in the oven.

Plate and soup spoon thing here.
Call me a weird collector of such.
Call me weird anyway.. I don't mind.:yum:

one thing I would like to start collecting is Buffalo where that is the cups, plates and such that was used in old diners usually very sturdy. I particularly like the old Buffalo where coffee mugs. I had a client a few years back who had a very nice collection of Buffalo where. has anybody else heard of these?
